FC 27 Untradeable Players: SBC Storage & Quick Sell Guide

Coins & Trading
In FC 27 Ultimate Team, untradeable players with no in-game value still have value in other ways—especially for SBCs. It's recommended to keep all gold cards as SBC filler so you don't have to spend extra coins buying them when you need them.

In FC 27 Ultimate Team, an untradeable player doesn't mean they're worthless. Aside from not being usable on the Transfer Market, they can still be used to build squads, complete SBCs, and develop players. High-value players go into squad building, while others can be used as SBC fodder or quick-sold.

How Should You Handle Untradeable Players?

  • Players 88 OVR and above should be kept for now. If they don't fit your squad, they can still be used for high-requirement SBCs later.
  • 75–84 OVR players are also used for SBCs or player challenges, turning them into higher-value rewards.
  • Duplicate untradeable players should go into SBC Storage first, waiting for future challenges.
  • Players who can make the starting or bench squad should definitely be kept at the club—they can play matches directly, and later when certain restrictions on player usage come up, you can field them.
  • Special or event cards should be handled carefully. Even if they don't fit your squad, they have some collection value, so it's not recommended to use them in SBCs.
  • Duplicate low-rated players with no use—if you don't need coins, keep them as SBC fodder; if you're short on coins, quick-sell some of them.

Duplicate Untradeable Players: Prioritize SBC Storage

If you pull an untradeable player you already own from a pack, it's recommended to store them in SBC Storage first and use them when a suitable SBC comes up.

If they can't be used for SBCs, check whether there's a suitable upgrade challenge or player challenge available and use up the duplicates in time.

Duplicates with very low value should be quick-sold directly to keep your inventory cleaner.

How Do You Maximize Untradeable Players to Earn More Squad Resources?

FC 27 frequently refreshes simplified SBCs that calculate progress based on a player item's Item Score—even low-value players can be used in SBCs, and gold cards especially should all be kept.

  • Low-rated players: prioritize upgrade-type SBCs, or exchange them for higher-tier player packs.
  • Mid-to-high-rated players: prioritize saving them for SBCs with clear returns, like player picks, specific player rewards, or high-rating requirement challenges.
  • High-rated special cards: first confirm whether they have actual squad value, then decide whether to put them into an SBC.

Quick Sell Notes

Not all untradeable player cards give coins when quick-sold. Before quick-selling, check the coin balance the game shows—if the sell value is 0, there's no coin return.

Accidental deletions can be recovered, but there's a limit. EA's official Quick Sell Recovery feature lets you recover eligible player items in the Web App or Companion App. After selling, you have up to 7 days to recover, with a maximum of 5 recoveries every 31 days, and you also need to return the quick-sell coins you originally received. Players already submitted to SBCs cannot be recovered.
