If you want to commit long term, just go with whichever you prefer between PC and console.

Is FC 26 Still Worth It With FC 27 Dropping Soon?
Release Date
FC 27 is expected to drop on September 25, 2026, and since it is already mid July, we are only about two months away. If you can wait, you should probably hold off until FC 27 comes out before making a choice.
Game Price
Steam had a sale recently where the standard edition hit a low of $13.99. which was an absolute steal. But now that the sale is over, it is back to $70. so it is definitely not worth it right now.

Gameplay Experience
FC 26 has had a year of updates so it is super polished. It is easier on your system and transfer market prices are dirt cheap and stable, so you can build your squad easily and just enjoy the game.
FC 27 is adding a bunch of new stuff, especially the open world mode called The Grounds. This is brand new territory for EA, so expect plenty of bugs at launch. Plus, the upgraded graphics and physics will put more weight on your hardware, so if your setup is low end, the performance might be rough.
Also, players on the FC 27 transfer market will probably cost a fortune early on. Just putting together a decent squad will be a massive grind, taking a ton of time before it actually gets fun.
