FC 27 has plenty of modes you can play solo, without needing other real online players. If you don't like competing or cooperating with real people and just want to play against bots by yourself, you can pick from these game modes.
Manager Career
This is the most typical pure single-player career mode in FC 27 Career Mode. In it you can:
- Manage a club for multiple seasons
- Buy and sell players
- Use the new Transfer Market
- Develop youth players
- Set tactics
- Handle unexpected events and press conferences
- Take job offers from other clubs or national teams
- Control matches yourself
Beyond that, Manager Live also has various challenge levels published by EA official and other real creators, which are well worth trying.
Player Career
Also a sub-mode within Career Mode, but it leans more toward being a player and playing matches, rather than running an entire club.
You can create your own Pro, start your career from a designated starting point, and keep developing through match performances, club objectives, and the new Rivalries system.
Kick Off
Pick a team and immediately play a match against AI. In FC 27, Kick Off includes not only normal 11v11 official matches, but also special modes like Rush, House Rules, and Mystery Ball, and it has 800+ clubs and national teams.
This mode is perfect for instant matches—any time, you can jump straight into a game.
Tournaments
If you like playing traditional cup competitions, choose this mode. You can take part in men's/women's international events, continental events, domestic cups, or create your own Custom Tournament. You can also choose League / Knockout / Group & Knockout, then play all the way to the championship.
Squad Battles
This is Ultimate Team's single-player mode. Although squads come from real players, the actual match control is AI. After each match you can also earn rewards like FUT Coins and Season Points, and if you're good enough, you can earn Champions Qualification Points.
Moments
Short-scenario challenges. Complete specific tasks in certain match situations, and after finishing you can earn Stars to exchange for various rewards.
Single Player Live Events
A new single-player mode added to FC 27 Ultimate Team. Challenge different AI squads and special match conditions based on event requirements. Events update alongside seasons or Campaigns, and completing challenges gives you generous rewards to claim.
Learn to Play
If your goal is just to quickly improve your skills, this is one of the best modes to practice in. From basic controls to advanced techniques, each item has its own practice arena and tutorial to help you get past the beginner stage fast.
Which of these modes are most worth trying?
Manager Career is the most worthwhile for long-term play. Its content is already rich enough, with the joy of gradual growth. From club management to match strategy, once you get comfortable with the gameplay, you'll almost never get bored.
Squad Battles is the best fit for FUT players. You can freely choose the difficulty and still earn rewards. Even without playing against real people, you can take part in most FUT events and experiences.
Kick Off is best for occasional play. If you don't have much time for games, or you're more casual and only want to kick a match when the mood hits, choose this mode. There's no intensity anxiety, no need to grind repeatedly for rewards, and almost no time cost to play.
