This is a brand-new mechanic in the negotiation system, introducing a mood and patience bar directly to the interface.
During talks, if an agent isn't satisfied with your wage offer and you keep testing them with tiny incremental raises—or repeatedly reject their reasonable demands—their patience meter will gradually drain. If it empties completely, negotiations break down entirely, preventing you from reopening talks with that player and agent for a period of time.
UI Overhaul
Rather than relying on the old numerical format, the right side of the screen now provides real-time feedback on how the agent feels about your proposal or adjustments. You'll see status updates like "close to satisfied," "needs a better offer," or "extremely unhappy."
If negotiations hit a stalemate, you can pause them at any time to lock in your current progress on the transfer list. This lets you step away to deal with other club business or take time to think things over, provided you resume talks before the window expires.
Delegating Negotiations
If you aren't interested in the back-and-forth haggling—or just find the process tedious—you can delegate the entire workflow to your Director of Football. Simply set your transfer budget parameters and select a negotiation style, such as Aggressive or Balanced.
A few days later, the system will send the outcome directly to your inbox, where all that's left to do is sign off on the deal.

When working through personal terms with a player, you'll need to pay close attention to four main areas:
- Squad Role: Ranging from Crucial to Prospect, this directly impacts player satisfaction once they join. If you promise someone a Crucial role but leave them on the bench, their morale will drop significantly.
- Contract Length: Keeping aging veteran stars on 1 to 2-year deals while securing young talent on 5-year contracts remains the most cost-effective strategy.
- Release Clause: Agents may attempt to insert a release clause. You can choose to remove it, but you'll likely need to compensate with a higher sign-on bonus or a slight wage bump.
