FC 27 Gallery Tags: How to Boost Set Grades Fast

Ultimate Team
FC 27 Gallery Tags are the difference between a B-grade set and S-tier rewards. This guide covers confirmed Tags, TOTW scaling, the sold-cards-still-count trick, and how to stack bonuses without wasting coins.

You built a Gallery Set. You loaded it with 87+ rated cards. The grade came back a B.

That's the FUT Gallery in FC 27 — a mode that doesn't reward simply stacking high-OVR cards. Gallery Tags are the difference between a good Set and an S-tier one. They add percentage-based bonuses on top of your Base Grade, and without them, even a squad full of special cards won't hit the top tiers.

Here's what's actually confirmed about Tags, what's still unknown, and how to use them to boost your set grades fast.

What Are FC 27 Gallery Tags?

Tags are bonus conditions you satisfy by combining specific item types within a Gallery Set. Each Tag you meet adds a percentage uplift on top of your Base Grade — the sum of every card's individual score value.

Think of them like chemistry bonuses for your collection. Include enough TOTW items, or First Owner cards, or players from the same league, and the Tag activates.

The key detail: Tags only apply if your Set meets their conditions. You can stack multiple active Tags within one Set for layered bonuses.

EA has published full scaling for the TOTW Tag:

TOTW Items in SetScore Boost
3–44%
5–96%
10+12%

That's the only Tag with confirmed percentage tiers so far. Other Tags — First Owner, Same League, Golden, Different Nation, and others — are confirmed to exist, but EA hasn't published their exact boost numbers yet.

Confirmed Tags vs. What's Still Unclear

Confirmed by EA:

  • Tags provide percentage-based bonuses on top of Base Grade
  • The seven Tags EA has shown so far: First Owner, TOTW, Same League, Golden, Different Nation, Different Club, and one more yet to be formally detailed
  • Sold or SBC'd items still count toward Gallery Sets — you don't need to keep cards you've already moved on
  • Gallery Sets can be regraded and improved all season long

Still unconfirmed:

  • The full Tag list. EA says hidden bonus Tags will be "gradually revealed over time"
  • Exact boost percentages for anything other than TOTW
  • Whether specific Tags like "Icons" or "Heroes" exist as unlockable Gallery Tags

If you see a guide listing 19 Tags with precise percentage tiers for each one, that's speculation dressed as fact.

The One Trick That Saves You Thousands of Coins

This is the single most important thing to understand about the FUT Gallery:

Items don't need to stay in your club to count.

Once a player item has passed through your club — from a pack, the Transfer Market, an Objective reward, or an SBC — it's permanently recorded in your Gallery. Sell it, discard it, submit it into an SBC — it still contributes to any Set it qualifies for.

What this means for your coin balance:

  • Buy cheap TOTW cards to trigger the TOTW Tag → sell them back → keep the Tag bonus
  • Fill a Same League slot with a 500-coin bronze, then quick-sell → the slot stays filled
  • Never spend big coins on a "Gallery card" you plan to keep. The Gallery doesn't care if you still own it.

The exceptions: Loan Items don't count. Evolution Items register as their original base version, not the upgraded result.

How to Boost Set Grades Fast With Tag Stacking

The fastest way to raise a Set Grade is to satisfy multiple Tag conditions in a single Set rather than chasing one perfect Tag.

A practical example using confirmed Tags:

  • Fill 5 slots with First Owner players from one league → triggers First Owner Tag and Same League Tag
  • Add 3 TOTW cards from that same league → triggers TOTW Tag
  • The remaining slots can be any rating — they still contribute to Base Grade

This gives you three Tag bonuses plus a solid Base Grade, using cards you probably already have in your club.

What not to do: Don't rebuild a Set from scratch every time you want to try a different Tag. The Set remembers every eligible card that's ever passed through your club. Build incrementally over the season.

Another tip: higher-rated and special items carry more score weight than base Golds. Temporarily slotting a strong card into a Set — even one you plan to sell later — can jump a grade instantly.

Gallery Tokens and Why Tags Matter Beyond the Grade

Higher Set Grades unlock more rewards, and the rewards that matter most are Gallery Tokens. These are spent in the Gallery Token Store on cosmetics, kits, badges, and — most importantly — Hall of FUT cards, a new class of historical player items available exclusively through this system.

The Base versions of Hall of FUT players — including cult heroes like Adebayo Akinfenwa, Marouane Fellaini, and Giovani dos Santos — can only be earned through the Gallery Token Store. Completing and grading Sets is the only way to earn the Tokens needed to buy them.

Tags directly affect your Token income. A higher grade means more Tokens. More Tokens means faster access to Hall of FUT players. This isn't a cosmetic side system — it's a second progression track that runs parallel to your squad build.

Final Thoughts

Gallery Tags aren't complicated once you strip away the noise. The core rules are simple: Tags add percentage bonuses, sold cards still count, and stacking multiple Tag conditions beats chasing one perfect set.

The specifics — full Tag list, exact percentages, hidden Tags — will fill in as the season progresses. Build smart now with what's confirmed, and you'll be ahead of the players still dumping 90+ cards into Sets and wondering why their grade won't move.
