Which Starter League Should You Pick in FC 27?

Gameplay Guides
FC 27 Starter League don't know how to choose? Go with LaLiga. Its starting players are really strong and can help you get through the early game smoothly, and later on they upgrade smoothly too. If you already have a plan, just pick based on your planned route.

If you're a new FC 27 player, when you first jump into Ultimate Team, the game will make you pick a Starter League. This choice has a huge impact later on. Some early-to-mid game Foundations reward packs and Player Picks will lean toward your pick, and it's a one-time thing you can't change afterward, so don't just pick randomly.

What's different about these options?

LaLiga / Liga F

Starter Foundations players: Starfelt, Suazo, Moi Gómez, Hugo Duro. These guys have very balanced stats with no obvious weaknesses, and the CB and LB are pretty standout.

Premier League / WSL

Starter Foundations players: Lindelöf, Lewis-Potter, Lewis Miley, Kostoulas. Miley in midfield is strong, and it also has the most high-quality players down the line.

Bundesliga / Frauen-Bundesliga

Starter Foundations players: Koch, Svensson, Banzuzi, Kofane. Kofane is decent, but the overall rewards are pretty lackluster.

Ligue 1 / Arkema

Starter Foundations players: Ganiou, Tagliafico, Danois, Sinayoko. ST Sinayoko is strong, but the players in other positions are pretty average.

How should I choose?

Top pick: LaLiga

Right now, LaLiga is the best of the four options for the early game. Starfelt and Suazo are really strong and make squad building pretty friendly.

If you want a squad with solid overall strength right from the start, LaLiga is the safest bet. The players it gives you are more than enough to get through the early game.

Second pick: Premier League

Next up is Premier League. Miley is the highest-rated CM among them, and the Premier League itself has higher long-term value than LaLiga.

The other two options are less practical overall, and with resources being scarce in the early game, they're not really recommended. Of course, if you don't care about practicality and strength, you can pick based on your personal preference.

How do these options affect your later squad planning?

Barring any surprises, they pretty much determine which league your first squad will more easily develop into. Especially when it comes to resource acquisition and squad transition costs in the early game. All the players you get from these options are untradeable, and their upgrade potential is very limited later on. Once you're past this stage, their value drops off a lot.

So you need to think about your long-term squad building path and try to avoid wasting too many resources early on. The players LaLiga gives you are strong enough to carry you through the early game, and they even transition smoothly into the mid-to-late game. You can slowly add strong players like Mbappé, Vinícius, Bellingham, and so on. That's why it's the most valuable option.

If you already have your own plan, then just pick players based on your own preference. The Starter League at most affects the early game and has almost no impact on the mid-to-late game.
